An In-town Holiday
Times like these, we usually go to my father's hometown of Bay, Laguna to visit the graves of my paternal grandfather (after whom Nico was named) and grandmother.
But for this year, it will be different. Traffic has been unbearable going to that place (it's the town after Los Baños, a popular hot spring resort town) and we can only go there using separate cars, as my sister's van is still in the shop for repairs. Then, my niece is down with a fever and I'm still recovering from my own bout with sickness.
So we decided just to light candles and say our own prayers for our dearly departed today.
But tomorrow, we go to the graves of my maternal grandmother and grandfather. The place is just nearby and since it's not a holiday, there will probably be less of a crowd.
Halloween went well for the kids and you may have noticed.
A fruitful holiday to all.
