Lindsay's Upgrades
taken with a A4tech PK-935 and Photobooth (Lindsay has no built-in iSight)
These drivers are heaven-sent. Saved me a ton because I don't have to buy an iSight anymore.
I tried it with an A4tech PK-935 webcam and it worked like a charm. The driver worked so well, it works with Skpe and YM. I even got Photobooth installed and it works well with it, too.
Using, Skype videocall and two accounts, I can even use the webcam as a surveillance camera for the living room. If you have been following this blog for a long time, you'll know where I will use that one for. (Sneaky, but prudent.) I just don't know if Skpe allows recording of the video call.
The only problem is, the webcam has to be connected directly to Lindsay to work. It will not work if the webcam is connected through a hub. Took me a while to reconfigure my peripherals and I'm still not satisfied with it. I may need to power my USB hub from an external source because of all the things plugged in.
Anyway, there's no choir today and we're not going out so we'll just watch TV and rest for most of the day. I'll try to finish Grey's Anatomy today.
