This day in history from:

Surprisingly

I have been remiss in my blogging lately. But let me fill you in on what has been happening.

My small birthday party with my maternal relatives was, surprisingly, a blast. Everyone enjoyed the small "entertainment" my cousins and I provided after dinner.

I reported back to work the day after but it was uneventful, as in, we were waiting for something that did not come.

Yesterday was, again, a surprisingly good day. There was a lot of productive work, although what were waiting for will come next year, as this was its last working day. We still have a meeting on the 31st, though.

The highlight of the night was my high school reunion party. Although only a few of us attended, it was, according to one classmate who is now a Jesuit Brother, a happy time where we reminisced about our high school time twenty years ago. I actually just came home now because I enjoyed the time so much.

Anyway, I have to rest now because I have to drive my mother to Greenhills later so she can do some last-minute shopping for New Year. Then Nico's long lost godfather will visit in the afternoon, followed by the usual choir. I need all the strength I can get...

I hope I can have some more time and material to blog about in the coming days.

Oh, I almost forgot. I want to thank all the people who greeted my on my birthday day by all means possible. Surprisingly, I received all sorts of greetings on all sorts of means: Twitter, messageboard, blog comment, Friendster message and SMS. Thank you very much. Remembering my birthday and taking time to greet means so much to me.

Side Prayers

PRAYER FOR GENEROSITY
Lord Jesus,
Teach me to be generous,
Teach me to serve You as You deserve
To give and not to count the cost,
To fight and not to heed the wounds,
To toil and not to seek for rest,
To labor and not to ask for reward,
except that of knowing
That I do Your Holy Will. Amen

THE LAWYER'S PRAYER
May every word I speak be from Your Truth...
I ask come from Your Wisdom...
May every case I handle receive Your Guidance...
May every heart, every life I touch, feel Your Love.

THE JABEZ PRAYER
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,
"Oh, that You would bless me indeed,
and enlarge my territory,
that Your Hand be with me,
that You would keep me from evil,
that I may not cause pain."

So God granted him what he requested.
