Solo Parent Flight
The problem is, Nico's nanny (who is also the household cook) could not join us because she had to cook my parents' supper. The other household help could not join also, because she had some urgent ironing to do before her day-off tomorrow.
So for the first time, I took my kids out, just the three of us.
It's also the first time since that horrid 31 December 2003 experience that I was left alone to tend to my kids. And unlike that time, I chose to be in this situation.
But somehow I think I must be doing something right because my children proved to be easy to handle, even precocious Nico.
So that episode, in a nutshell, went well and I was able to play the part of a true solo parent, something I have not done in a long, long time. Even fed them myself at a nearby fast food store.
Also only goes to show my kids are growing up and growing up well.
Yay me! Or more accurately, "Yay us!"
