This day in history from:

Tested to the limit

Got tested to the limit yesterday when we went on ocular inspection of a client's building.

I actually went to the rooftop of that building, via a rickety ladder that I was not sure it could support me. But I had to go up to get some photograph there.

My new camera got tested to the limit yesterday as well. I brought it along and it was raining when I used it. I even lugged it up that roof.

Today, Scarlett got tested to the limit. Because my new camera does 12.2 MP, it churns out jpeg files as large as 6 Mb each. Imagine putting those pictures (I took around 200) into Word documents. Some document files were even 200 Mb apiece.

As you all know, Word documents go crazy over a certain size. Hence, the documents I produced were unreliable and Scarlett kept crashing like crazy.

But then, it was just a matter of managing the file sizes. I just chopped the documents into bite-sized, five-page chunks. It was downhill from there.

Anyway, while Scarlett survived this test, this may be an omen for me to get a new laptop. A MacBook Pro, perhaps?

That's it for now. Time to sleep. I have a big hearing tomorrow.

Side Prayers

PRAYER FOR GENEROSITY
Lord Jesus,
Teach me to be generous,
Teach me to serve You as You deserve
To give and not to count the cost,
To fight and not to heed the wounds,
To toil and not to seek for rest,
To labor and not to ask for reward,
except that of knowing
That I do Your Holy Will. Amen

THE LAWYER'S PRAYER
May every word I speak be from Your Truth...
I ask come from Your Wisdom...
May every case I handle receive Your Guidance...
May every heart, every life I touch, feel Your Love.

THE JABEZ PRAYER
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,
"Oh, that You would bless me indeed,
and enlarge my territory,
that Your Hand be with me,
that You would keep me from evil,
that I may not cause pain."

So God granted him what he requested.
