Trollin'
(With apoligies to Marvin Hamlish and Carol Bayer-Sager)I’m afraid to fly
And I don’t know why
I’m jealous of the people who
Are not afraid to lie
It’s just that I recall
Back when my blog's small
Someone promised that they’d catch me
And then they let me troll
And now I’m trollin’
Trollin’ fast again
Why do I always make a troll
When I troll in blogs
You’d think by now I’d learn
Play with fire you get burned
But fire can be oh so warm
And that’s why I re-tagged
Turn and walk away
That’s what I should do
My head says go and find the door
My heart says I’ve found you
And now I’m trollin’
Trollin’ fast again
Why do I always make a troll
When I troll in blogs
Help me I’m trollin’
Trollin’ fast again
Why do I always make a troll
When I troll in blogs
Hatin’ someone, losin’, myself
Only got me to blame
Help me I’m trollin’
Trollin’
Catch me if you can
Maybe this time I’ll have it all
Maybe I’ll make it after all
Maybe this time I won’t troll
When I troll in blogs...

Arrogance can be blinding and can be the cause of downfall...fame and popularity will come to an end...I await that day.
You know, for me what matters most is having friends like you who are not pretentious and who are just who you are.
Hey Atty. Punzi,
I am in a good mood today. As a breaker, I visit your site... great song. Sometimes, I have to stay away from news from our country ( depresses me ). I admire you guys who can shift to other worth things like music.
Hi Punzi. I found your blog through Teacher Sol's. I hope you don't mind if I ask for the exact definition of "trolling"? I'm afraid I haven't come across the term.
I also love this song. I love the musical it came from, "They're Playing Our Song", which I saw twice at Rep. I think your version is funny. I've tried to figure out "trolling"'s meaning through context clues, and I have a bit of an idea, but I would much rather hear the actual definition from you.
Renee,
According to Wikipedia:
"In the context of the internet, a troll refers to a person who makes inflammatory or hostile comments, which are intended to cause disruptions in discourse or to upset people directly. Trolling can be described as a breaching experiment, in which in an alternate persona allows for normal social boundaries and rules of etiquette to be tested or otherwise broken; in other words, people who wouldn't say boo to a goose offline get to attack without fear of consequences."
I also love this song. That's why this came to mind during the time...
regards
