One of the things that kept me going through the turmoil of my separation was a (religious, I don't know if it's liturgical) song called Huwag Kang Mangamba (Be Not Afraid) by Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ. It sings:

Huwag kang mangamba, 'di ka nag-iisa
Sasamahan kita, saan man magpunta
Ika'y mahalaga sa 'King mga mata
Minamahal kita, minamahal kita

Tinawag kita sa 'yong pangalan
Ikaw ay Akin magpakailanman
Ako ang Panginoon mo at Diyos
Tapagligtas mo at Tagatubos

Sa tubig kita'y sasagipin
Sa apoy ililigtas man din
Ako ang Panginoon mo at Diyos
Tapagligtas mo at Tagatubos

Huwag kang mangamba, 'di ka nag-iisa
Sasamahan kita, saan man magpunta
Ika'y mahalaga sa 'King mga mata
Minamahal kita, minamahal kita

Roughly translated, it means:

Do not be afraid, you are not alone,
I will be with you wherever you go
You are precious in my sight
I love you, I love you.

I called you by your name,
And you are Mine, forevermore
I am the Lord, your God
Your Redeemer and Savior.

From the waters, I shall save you
From the fire, I will rescue you
I am the Lord, your God
Your Redeemer and Savior.

Do not be afraid, you are not alone,
I will be with you wherever you go
You are precious in my sight
I love you, I love you.

(Pardon the translation. A poet, I am not.)

According to the songbooks, this was roughly based on Isaiah 43.

This song (playing and listening to it) gave me great comfort and peace during my most trying times. And it still does.

I thought I could share this one with you. It may do the same for you.
