Firefox Fixes
Apparently, Firefox 2.0 does not sit well with an Intel Mac. It hangs on me several times (about 5 to 6) a day, especially on "feature-laden" websites, the ones with Flash or Shockwave bits.
On a side note, I saw someone comment on some popular tech blog (I'll give you one guess...) stating that he had no problems with Firefox 2.0 but in the same breath, stated he liked its "Restore Session" function.
Duh! If he had no problems with Firefox 2.0, he would never have seen that feature...
The internet gave two solutions but there's actually three:
1. Run Firefox 2.0 on Rosetta. But the speed difference of this solution is pretty noticeable, so I ended up using a combination of the two solutions below.
2. Disable some extensions. Actually, the only offending extension was the Google Toolbar, and
3. Use another browser. (Like Camino, or even Firefox 1.5)...
If you have similar problems, the links are there...
Apparently, everything's stable now because I went through this entry without problems.
