Having fun in the process
I'm making a conscious effort to put only positive words in my blog from now on. Positive words evoke a positive outlook and elicit a positive thought. Positive thoughts attract positive things and positive feelings.
So far it has worked. Now I try to see the positive side of things and it has been working. I'm having the time of my life. I'm having fun in the process. And I've had two great days in a row. And for as long as I continue this, I'll always have good days.
I remember the time when I was a new lawyer when I tried to relearn my writing style to mainly use the active voice. But it has been worth it. It has brought about dramatic clarity in my sentences and my thoughts on paper (or on screen).
Now, it's a more ambitious project.
Now, time to learn to put everything in a positive light in any circumstance. It will take some time, but I believe it will be also worth it. It will turn my life around and attract only positive things.
Hence, I shall start with gratitude, with what I am grateful for. Tomorrow.
In the meantime, I'll treat myself to watching the HappySlip live chat a little later.
And here's to a great weekend (and a great future) to us all!
Cheers!
1 Objection(s):
I can't really help but agree with the steps you've taken so far in this change of perspective. Some people may find it corny, but it does really work.
As a call center agent, we were taught that in order to keep customers happy, we should change the way we talk to them. This means avoiding using words that might connote anything negative (note that up to this point, the only "negative" word that I used was the "not" in the contraction "can't"). It was a drag in the beginning because we had to rewrite our responses (or, in other words, how we should be conversing with members), but eventually it did help raise my work stats.
As a result, I now tend to speak and write positively...and so did my outlook in life changed as well :) So I'm happy that you've taken this step as well...and I hope you'll keep it up, and teach your two kids to do the same ;-)
