Lawyer found dead in Pasig hotel

MANILA, Philippines -- A lawyer was found dead inside a room at the Richmond Hotel on San Miguel Avenue, Pasig City, a police official said Saturday.

Lawyer Maria Tecson, 40, was found with her throat slit and with cuts on her wrist inside room 204 around 8:30 pm Friday, Senior Superintendent Francisco Uyami, Pasig police chief, said.

Quoting scene of the crime investigators, Uyami said Tecson's body was already in a state of rigor mortis when found, indicating she could have been dead for six hours when she was discovered.

Uyami said they are still determining whether Tecson was killed or committed suicide.

The name sounded familiar. The last name reminded me of the lady lawyer of Pacific Plans, but I remember she was known as Jeanette Tecson.

But when I searched the internet, I found out that her full name was Maria Jeanette C. Tecson, see...

Hmm... intriguing... but I still don't know if she's the same girl. I better check the roll of attorneys... and according to the law list, there is no other Atty. Maria Tecson in the roll other than Jeanette.

Now the wheels in my head are beginning to spin...

But in any case, may she rest in peace.

Oh, well. I leave you with that intriguing thought as I wish you all pleasant weekend.

I know this to be out of place. Please bear with me. I just want to create awareness by choosing the busy forum or the latest.
Do consider Dr. Martin Bautista for the next elections obviously (a senatorial candidate of ‘Ang Kapatiran’ together with Adrian Sison and Zosimo Paredes). He’s a 45-year-old gastroenterologist in the US who came home after 17 years. You can see from his background that he truly means service. For those who find him to be a hypocrite for working abroad, do understand he’s a family man who needs to sustain his family, that he will be able to keep his independence by not relying on public funds to support his family. He helps his countrymen in his capacity but it’s just not enough for there are millions of Filipinos. It’s a good start in Philippine Politics to have him and his party around.
I urge you to forward/text/inform all your contacts about them. I believe they only lack exposure that’s why I’m doing this. But I can’t do it alone so I’m appealing to everyone’s help. If all will inform their contacts about them and urge them as well to forward, we might hit a million.
We cannot afford to be indifferent now if we want meaningful change. Otherwise we only have ourselves to blame. BUT TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

just 3 years ago, a lady lawyer here in cebu was shot and murdered in cold blood in her very own home. She was prosecuting a high profile case.
