What now?
What are his options?
1. File a motion for reconsideration with the Sandiganbayan.
2. Directly appeal to the Supreme Court.
All of this he can do within 15 days from today, the promulgation.
Note that if he files a motion for reconsideration and the Sandiganbayan denies it, Estrada can still appeal to the Supreme Court.
Assuming that the case is finally decided. The pardon and the reduction of sentence option surfaces. The president can pardon him and restore his to his full civil and political rights, including the right to vote and be voted for public office.
The president can also reduce his sentence to time served. The problem with that is he will still be disqualified from holding public office.
More on this later. In the meantime, I really want to go out so I can do some work.
So now, I guess life goes on for the rest of us... I hope it's still peaceful out there.
