Big Pleading
This highlight of work yesterday was the filing of a big pleading for a big case we have.
When I mean "big," I mean it literally.
While the main pleading was only six pages long, the annexes, when stacked, came up to my shoulder in height. And we filed 17 copies of that pleading.
It took us two vehicles to haul that to the tribunal where we filed it. And it took five people to take it up the to the receiving office.
And then, it took at least an hour and a half for us to sort out filing with the records office.
It is, literally, the biggest pleading I have ever filed. And it took us a a good five months to prepare, copy and mark it.
Then, it was off to a meeting in the office that ended around 11:00 a.m.
For today, some more meetings and a trip to my consultancy, probably.
The weekend's nearing again. Time flies so fast.
