Apologies
But this was totally uncalled for. This has no point. Or if there is one, it is totally stupid. And even if this was a private Ateneo event, the person who did this should have been more circumspect and assumed pictures of this will go around the internets.
So I personally like to apologize to my clients and friends from La Salle for this one, now known as the "Ateneo Bonfire Scandal":
In the words of Fr. Nebres, S.J.:
Despite our rivalries in sports, we are both committed to Christian values and what was done is certainly a violation of values we share.
Once again, my sincere apologies.
3 Objection(s):
i shouldn't be that involved in the UAAP basketball, being in the maroon team. but that bonfire display was uncalled for.
i don't know if you were trying to diffuse the situation by inserting gloria's infamous apology, but i felt it somewhat negated the apology, which is a shame, since i think it was a sincere apology.
anyway, just some musings from a non-blue, non-(truly) green witness...
Duly noted. I will revise that last line. I was truly asking for an apology and if it came out that way, I'm man enough to admit and rectify it accordingly.
Thanks for the comment.
thanks as well. i hope i can be as magnanimous as you are if we ever win the basketball championship again (hmm, maybe in the next century? hehehe!)... peace! :)
