A new computer for Dad
But now he's shopping around for desktop.
It has to be the same, or better specs that the laptop.
But I can't recommend that he get a Mac. He runs an architectural practice which is essentially CAD work, which, in turn, is essentially PC.
The iMac that can run Vista argument will not work either because he'll end up spending twice for something he can achieve with a pure PC. He does not need the premium features of Apple because he won't even use it much. His employees will.
Anyway, for the warranty and the tech support, we're getting him a branded desktop PC. He really does not need the top of the line specs. He basically needs a reliable machine.
But since I'm on vacation now, we will deal with that when I get back.
At least the frenzy of work has caught on. Even with my Dad, which is always a good sign.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
