Laying Off the Sauce

I have seen it coming. And the day has finally arrived.

I have decided to lay off the Facebook sauce, if only for a while.

Don't get me wrong. I may be transparent and you may detect a pending personal problem but I assure you everything is alright.

I was just spending too much time on it anyway. I was satisfied with what a friend terms as "thinking bite size pieces."

We have gotten used to this, claiming we have no more time. Getting our news and other information in 140 characters or less.

We have lost our will to read entire news or information articles. We have even lost our will to write a complete blog entry. We are satisfied just to tweet or post a few sentences on our Facebook wall.

And I have found Facebook too interactive for my growing taste. And because of that, I have discovered I have been spending too much time in it. Time that I could be spending for more productive pursuits.

And then there's TMI. Too much information. Being in small bites, I have been giving out and receiving too much information.

So for me, I have resolved to lay off the Facebook sauce, if only for a while. Starting today, I will be less interactive. And I will resolve to deliver my thoughts in larger doses. Except for tweets, which while still in bite size pieces, is less interactive than Facebook.

So hopefully, you'll see more posts here and my professional blog.

I used to blog everyday. Hopefully, I can get back to that same groove.
