This day in history from:

Feeling Better

Aside from some driver duties, and because of a lingering bout with the flu, I chose to rest the whole day. I was supposed to have a hearing in a far, far away place, but I chose not to.

Fortunately, most of my work for the week was done, anyway, so I just took my meds and intermittently dozed off to recharge. I really found it hard to even stare at any computer screen so I gave that one up completely yesterday.

Of course, no one tended to me, as you know. But I'm already used to that. I just needed rest and some peace and quiet, which I got for most of the day.

I'm feeling a lot better now which is good because I have some driving errands to go to. Plus I'm going to the Bukas Palad event tonight so I'll need all the energy I can muster. Our choir swapped duties for tonight so we can attend. Oh, and there's no chamber session today, either because our maestro gave as homework instead. That will resume next week.

It's a good thing I'm feeling better because I'll need all the energy I can muster today. Then tomorrow, I can rest again.

I already have something in mind to post in my new blog, so just wait for it during the day. Or tomorrow perhaps.

Have a wonderful long weekend.

Side Prayers

PRAYER FOR GENEROSITY
Lord Jesus,
Teach me to be generous,
Teach me to serve You as You deserve
To give and not to count the cost,
To fight and not to heed the wounds,
To toil and not to seek for rest,
To labor and not to ask for reward,
except that of knowing
That I do Your Holy Will. Amen

THE LAWYER'S PRAYER
May every word I speak be from Your Truth...
I ask come from Your Wisdom...
May every case I handle receive Your Guidance...
May every heart, every life I touch, feel Your Love.

THE JABEZ PRAYER
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,
"Oh, that You would bless me indeed,
and enlarge my territory,
that Your Hand be with me,
that You would keep me from evil,
that I may not cause pain."

So God granted him what he requested.
