Take a hint

Don't you get the subtle hints?

He does not want to meet you.

And why would he want to?

And what makes you think you're so important that he would want to meet you?

You were given the runaround... isn't that enough hint to get the message?

Let me spell it out for you again:

He does not want to meet you.

And is this the correct time to meet in the first place?

So stop running around and chasing him.

Try to have some dignity.

It's not fitting for someone of your stature.

But then again... never mind.

And don't make a big deal about having talked to him over the phone instead.

The guy is just being polite.

And don't bring that "hell hath no fury" bit.

Even if you are furious, what can your fury do to him there?
